The Ultimate Sacrifice

The ATF had the nerve to post this on Facebook today:

I realize they do this every year, but it gets me upset each time. You would think this is something the ATF would throw under the rug and pretend it never happened. NOPE!
They act like their officers died doing something heroic. They lie about what happened at the link they referenced. If you want the truth about what happened, there are plenty of resources.
A TV mini-series Waco was pretty good. The final episode was just completely heartbreaking. And the Libertarian Institute put together this page with a lot of other resources.

But, what got me even more triggered was the ATF saying their officers made the "ultimate sacrifice". Give me a freakin break. Every law they were supposedly enforcing is unconstitutional, which makes those officers traitors to our country - as far as I'm concerned.
The real victims in Waco were the men, women and children murdered by this criminal organization. To this day, it's sickening and heartbreaking.
On who's behalf did those officers "sacrifice" their lives? Not mine. Not yours. If anything, they sacrificed their lives for the continued existence of the ATF/government itself. Is that something worth dying for? You know my answer to that question.
Instead, let's be reminded of who really made the "ultimate sacrifice".
Hebrews 9:26b-28 reads:
"But now, once for all time, he has appeared at the end of the age to remove sin by his own death as a sacrifice. And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him."
Another great passage is from Colossians 2:13-14:
"You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross."
JESUS was the Ultimate Sacrifice.
As a side note, I'm sorry it's been a while since I've wrote anything. I've been busy with a new hobby and going through "The History of Economic Thought" from the Liberty Classroom. (I'm almost done with Part 2!) I'm just writing when something's worth getting off my chest and when I have time. (or when I get upset by a stupid ATF post!) In any case, thanks for reading and take care!
