My Battle With Covid-19

I'm almost fully recovered from a nasty battle with Covid-19. And I had never been so sick in my life.

I woke up on July 13th feeling like I got hit by a truck. I had a fever with incredible body aches and was a little dizzy when moving. I got tested that day and found out I had this virus. Those body aches were severe, but eventually subsided after a few days. Then my nose was real stuffed with crazy headaches. Then I lost my taste/smell. Then I had 5 days where everything smelled and tasted AWFUL. (even toothpaste & mouthwash!)

I had a fever for two straight weeks! I developed a nasty cough the second week. I'm even still a little short on breath and coughing every now & then. (almost 3 weeks later!) But I feel a million times better overall. I also lost about 10-15 lbs! It was absolutely crazy.

I'm generally pretty healthy and rarely got sick. I'm 42. So, I chose not to get vaccinated. I figured I'd rather beat this virus naturally and develop a natural immunity.

During the worst of the symptoms, I did question whether or not I should have gotten the vaccine. That seems pretty natural, plus when you're in the middle of feeling that terrible, you reconsider ALL of your life choices.😂 Would the vaccine have improved the symptoms? Maybe. (At least that's what we're told to believe!) But who really knows.

But, I have zero regrets about my decision. I even told my wife during the worst of this, that if I ended up dying she could put that on my tombstone! (she didn't appreciate me joking about dying though! 😆)

But, I survived this and now I don't need to worry about the long term affects of an experimental vaccine.

I've never seen such a coordinated push by media/government to influence people the way they're pushing this vaccine. It's really something to watch this unfold in real time. As a result, they are trying to create a very real divide amongst Americans.

We have morons like Ibram X. Kendi claiming that anyone who opposes lockdowns are similar oppressors to slave owners. 🙄

We're such a wealthy country that people think they have a "right" to go through life free from sickness and disease. What a bastardized concept of "rights". Sickness, disease and death are part of human existence. Yes, it sucks, but that's life. I wish it wasn't like this, but it is.

But what really gets me upset is this specific virus. This is not a normal virus, I'm sorry. I've never experienced anything like it. I'll need some strong evidence to convince me this wasn't created in a lab. There is a group of responsible people in Washington that should be ran out of town for even participating in it's creation.

Why aren't more people upset at their government? Instead, they're turning on their fellow neighbors/coworkers/family for not getting injected with an experimental vaccine.

I feel like the less time we spend watching TV or browsing Twitter, the better. Maybe it's just me, but these divisions haven't spread into the real world in any meaningful way....at least yet! When I go to the grocery store or park and interact with strangers, people are generally normal and treat each other with respect. Just go live your life, love your neighbors and love God. Let people make decisions that are best for them and let it be.

Is that too much to ask?!

In any case, thanks for your prayers if you happened to see my Facebook post. I hope you're all staying healthy!
